Another forward thinking people focused company, Brightpearl by Sage, has joined our pledge to give every young person a mentor.
Brightpearl is the industry-leading Retail Operating System. The Bristol-based firm (with another HQ in Austin, Texas), works with thousands of retailers introducing software that automates retail complexity and puts orders, inventory, financials, POS (point of sale) and CRM (customer relationship management) into one place so brands can grow fearlessly.
As well as being a powerhouse for retailers, Brightpearl places huge value on their own people which led them to recently scoop a top award as the best software company to work for in Britain, beating household names like Adobe and Microsoft
The retail software provider has doubled its headcount in the last year from 100 to 235 and is expanding fast following its £275 million take-over by enterprise software giant Sage at the end of last year.
Brightpearl has opened up the opportunity for 40 of its employees to mentor through the OKO platform, sharing their experiences and learnings with the next generation of talent.
“Joining OKO has been an obvious choice for our team,” said Jacqui Coombs, Chief of Staff at Brightpearl. “We help to support young people by providing Mentors with experience and their life learnings.
“Our employees also benefit through developing their mentoring and leadership skills, as well as engagement in a meaningful programme with an amazing feel good factor. We are delighted to join the OKO Pledge and look forward to making a difference for our Mentees.”
It’s great to have Jacqui and the Brightpearl team onboard and we look forward to changing the world with them, one young person at a time.
